Pre-Paid Legal Business Plan Details

Please note that the information on this page is a general overview of the legal plan coverage. Eligibility is for profit businesses, non publicly traded businesses who have 99 or fewer employees. Your representative will be able to provide you with a contract plan with complete terms, coverage details, amounts, conditions and services.

Business Legal Advice

 

  • Legal advice is provided as part of your business pre-paid legal plan on legal questions or issues concerning your business.


Designated Legal Consultations for your Business

Under your business pre-paid legal plan, you will be provided with two phone consultations per year that are arranged by your provider lawyer. Each consultation consists of up to 30 minutes for the following legal matters:

  • Trademark Issues
  • Patents
  • Copyrights
  • Securities
  • Anti-trust
  • Tax Issues
  • Immigration
  • Import/Export customs Issues
  • Issues that arise outside your state but are with in the United States
  • International Law
  • Admiralty


Letters and Phone Calls Made on Your Behalf

Service is available at the discretion of your Provider Lawyer

  • One letter or phone call per subject matter each year


Basic Contract Review and Executed Contact Review

 

  • Under your pre-paid legal business plan, you are allowed up to 3 contracts (up to 15 pages each) on separate subject matters reviewed each month
  • Executed contract review covers one signed contract per month (up to 10 pages each)


Business Document Review

 

  • Your pre-paid legal business plan includes up to 3 business documents (up to 15 pages each) on separate subject matters to be reviewed each month


Debt Collection Letters

 

  • Up to 10 separate initial collection letters per month are covered under your pre-paid legal business plan


Trial Defense Services

Trial defense services provide assistance when your business is named as the defendant or respondent in a covered civil action related to business activities:

  • 60 hours for trial
  • Up to 15 hours of pre-trial work


Reduced Contingency Fee Services

 

  • You can receive up to a 5% discount from the Provider Lawyer’s standard contingency fee which is available at the discretion of your provider lawyer


25% Discount on Additional Legal Services

Other legal work, including litigation representation, is available within your business state at a 25% discount from the Lawyer’s corporate hourly rate. The following services are provided under your discount:

  • Any claim or charge where the covered business has access to an insurance policy
  • Acts which started a lawsuit that occurred prior to enrollment into the pre-paid legal business plan
  • Workers compensation claims or charges
  • Inquiries or actions by a government agency
  • Bankruptcy
  • Alcohol, drug, substance or chemical abuse or dependency
  • Garnishment
  • Attachment
  • Any other post judgement relief action
